We are extraordinarily happy you chose us as your Doctors of Optometry. Quite frankly, we consider it an honor.

You see, eye care has undergone immense changes from what it was just a few short years ago. Technologically, we’re way ahead. But not all of the changes are good. It seems as if a lot of the caring has gone out of the profession, as it has in many professions. In many cases, eye care has become nothing short of an impersonal business. We vowed that we would not let that happen to our practice. We became doctors because we care and we refuse to lose that.

Here’s what it all means for you. We are dedicated to working with you toward the highest quality of vision for you, your family and friends. Our well-trained staff is ready to provide you with friendly and efficient service. Your eye care is our primary goal.

It means that if you have an emergency, we are always available. Just call (913)345-8020 anytime so that we can get back to you promptly.

It means that, if you work, we have late evenings hours on Tuesday and early morning hours on Friday in addition to our regular 8:30 – 5:30 daytime hours. We’d want that from our practitioner.

Also, we’ve expanded the frames we carry in stock to make it more convenient for you. You shouldn’t have to make endless trips to any office. No appointment is necessary for ordering or picking up glasses or contact lenses. We encourage you to stop by and browse for eyewear at your convenience. Ask us how we can ship contact lenses to you.

Additionally, if you refer a friend or loved one to us, we are going to treat them with the same conviction and energy with which we are helping you. Perhaps it’s hokey to say, but a friend of yours is a friend of ours.

If you have any problems or concerns at all, we will work with you in any way we can- because that‘s what caring means.

MEET OUR DOCTORS

Dr. E. Alan Phillips is a caring doctor who is determined to exceed your eye care expectations. He was raised in Marshall, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri with his BA in Geography/Biology in 1992. He later attended the University of Missouri- St. Louis School of Optometry for four years and then served as a captain in the US Army at Ft. Jackson and Ft. Bragg. He and his family returned to the Midwest to be closer to family and friends in 2003. Dr. Alan is an avid sports fan and loves coaching his kids ball teams. He is active in the Overland Park Rotary club, the Knights of Columbus, and the Kansas Optometric Association.
